ABOUT EVAN KILGORE
Born in Los Angeles in December, 1983, Evan Kilgore grew up in Washington State, where he developed an early love for both films and literature. He began writing short stories and, later, novels, at a young age, before returning to Southern California to earn his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Screenwriting at the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts.

Novels
Kilgore sold his first novel, Who is Shayla Hacker, to Bleak House Books during his senior year as an undergraduate at USC, in 2006, and after its publication the following year, Bleak House released his second novel, The Children of Black Valley, in 2008. Made in China, The Last March of Nine, and Snowbound would later follow. His first spec screenplay, written while still a student at USC, became a semifinalist for the Motion Picture & Television Academy's prestigious Nicholl Fellowship.
Soon thereafter, Evan began working to develop screenwriting projects with writing partner Samuel Franco, both of whom were included in Variety's Top Ten Writers to Watch, in 2017. Their first script, Mayday 109, was honored on the Black List, Hit List, and Young and Hungry List, before it was optioned by Thunder Road Films and Flynn Picture Co. Ansel Elgort (Baby Driver, The Fault in Our Stars) became attached to star in early stages of pre-production.
Franco/Kilgore
Kilgore and screenwriting partner Samuel Franco's second feature script, Keeper of the Diary, received resounding interest within the industry, selling to Fox Searchlight after a fierce and competitive weekend bidding war between multiple studios. Actor Kenneth Branagh (Dunkirk, Murder on the Orient Express) became attached to star and direct.
Franco/Kilgore sold three television pilots to NBC-Universal/Peacock, FX Networks, and Anonymous Content, all of which are now packaging and in development. The Fall of the House of FIFA, set up at FX, follows the precipitous collapse of the corrupt soccer empire that heralded a global multibillion-dollar shift in power. The other two projects are presently under wraps.

Evan also regularly volunteers as a mentor in the Young Storytellers Program, which pairs writers and industry professionals with elementary- and middle school students to foster and develop a love for writing at a young age.
Franco and Kilgore are both members of the Writers Guild of America, West, (WGA) and are represented by Verve Talent & Literary Agency, Navigation Media, and Morris/Yorn.
